I am Josef and I garner my  happiness and fulfillment in life as a music teacher and performer.

My Service are is Ballard and the Surrounding Neighborhoods

I Provide Instruction on the Violin Family, the Piano, the Recorder Family, and the Flute. I perform and teach Classical and Contemporary Music.

Music is wonderful because its core purpose is to capture and reflect beauty. Learning an instrument is an art of mastery and refinement and I enjoy the challenges and rewards of this never-ending journey.

I love teaching music. I am a people person and I enjoy socializing and building quality relationships with my students and their families. 

My Core Philosophies are:

• Practice a little bit of time, many times, over a long period of time.

• Stay Humble

• Do your best, even when it feels like your worst

• If you are overwhelmed with your journey, pick a simple task that needs done.

I primarily teach the Suzuki method. The Suzuki Method is challenging and enjoyable. It is action oriented and less academic than most other methods. It uses the “Suzuki ladder” to gradually teach a student foundational skills that build on one another. If a student feels overwhelmed with their music journey, I can always just tell them; “Don’t worry about the future, Suzuki is preparing you for that”.
